How to avoid disappointment

(At the end of a conversation about someone who recently disappointed both Allan and I)

Allan: You underestimate people.

Me:  When you over estimate people, you end up being disappointed.

It’s true – when you expect nothing out of anyone (to a certain extent) you won’t wind up being disappointed.
